 North Texas to Join 1,500+ Americans for Discussions on Pressing

Global Issues at United Nations Headquarters in New York City

 DALLAS, TX—More than 1,500 Americans from across the country—including a delegation of North Texans—will show their support for the United Nations at the United Nations Association of the United States of America’s (UNA-USA) 2019 Global Engagement Summit at UN Headquarters in New York City.

Kicking off the day’s events will be UN Secretary-General António Guterres, who will address the audience in the famed General Assembly Hall. His remarks will be followed by a day of discussions on the world’s most pressing issues, including  the humanitarian crisis in Yemen, nuclear non-proliferation,  and the growing threat of climate change. Other notable speakers include President of the 73rd Session of the UN General Assembly María Fernanda Espinosa Garcés.
