Meet the 2019 Global Leadership Award Honorees
UN Day North Texas: Our Planet. Our Future.
The United Nations has declared climate change the defining issue of our time. UN Secretary-General António Guterres has repeatedly called on us all to be leaders in the fight against climate change. We agree that it's time we all commit to immediate climate action. That's why our theme for UN Day 2019 is "Our Planet. Our Future.".
We only have one planet, and its well-being concerns us all. We are in a time when we need to see clearly what unites us more than what divides us, and how embracing diversity enables us to make better collective decisions that affect us all. It is in this context that the Global Leadership Awards will shine a light on exceptional leaders who are part of moving North Texas forward towards positive change. This year, we will recognize how their remarkable achievements inspire us to see beyond the limits of convention to create a more sustainable North Texas.
The UN Day Global Leadership Awards will take place on October 24th. Meet the 2019 honorees:
